Deep Sea Fisheries will be having a HIRING EVENT !!!! We will be looking for salmon processors for the upcoming fishing season at our land based processing facility in Alaska. This is a land position, you will not be working on a fishing vessel.
Our salmon processing facility operates 24 hours a day during the months of June and July. We will process millions of pounds of fresh caught wild salmon during that time.
All applicants must be willing to work up to 112 hours each week! Yes 112!! Each processors is given a 7 day a week 16 hour shift. That's 40 hours of straight time and 72 hours of overtime each week!
You are expected to be able to stand for long periods of time, working in boots and rain-gear (which are provided) take direction well and have a positive attitude while working. If you have any problem with fish blood, fish guts or fish parts this might not be the right job for you. But... if you have a great attitude, a spirit for adventure and need to make money during the summer months.. THIS MIGHT BE THE PERFECT JOB FOR YOU!
The Salmon Season in Alaska begins in June and runs until August.
All processors start at $9.80 per hour and overtime pay is $14.70 an hour. Working 7, 16 hour shifts is 40 straight time hours and 72 overtime hours.
Food and housing are provided as well as airfare to and from the plant (assuming contract is completed successfully)
That means you will have almost no expenses... all of your paycheck will come home with you.
