A new study says that from ages 13 to 18 teenagers cost -- on average -- $9,570 a year. More than half of that supposedly goes toward food! We think that sounds LOW. What do you think?

That's supposed to include teenagers with cell phones, nice clothes, school trips, sports, band and their own cars. The study estimated kids eat around $400 a month.

And think about the electronics and home services they want!

So we think $10,000 a year sounds a little low.

However, maybe we at 98.3 The Key just spoil our kids. Maybe they should earn more of their own money. Maybe they don't need those electronics, and nice clothes. Maybe they should ride the bus more often!

Tell us, was the study accurate?
