Channing Tatum rocked Mardi Gras beads on Saturday at a pre-Super Bowl shindig that he hosted, but unfortunately, he didn't channel his 'Magic Mike' alter ego and actually earn them.

Curses!

Tatum tossed beads to fans below his Saints and Sinners restaurant balcony on Bourbon St. in New Orleans, because most of them probably weren't loaded enough -- financially, anyway -- to get in.

The 'G.I. Joe' star and Sexiest Man Alive was hosting a VIP event, with $1,000 tickets for those who actually wanted access to Tatum and $350 tickets for the peasants who merely wanted a passing glance at his unrivaled beauty.

Tatum also revealed that the way he feels about becoming a dad is pretty much the same way we feel when he takes off his shirt.

His explanation? "Someone said it's really like watching your heart jump out of your body and run around, and I think that can possibly be the coolest thing that I've heard of."
