It’s been a long road to the second season of American Crime Story, but The Assassination of Gianni Versace is finally upon us. FX confirms a 2018 premiere with some sinister new teasers for the Emmy-winner’s sophomore outing.
FX has had little trouble securing awards in recent years, but 2017 may be a tricky one. Not only is Atlanta delayed to 2018, but the Katrina-based second season of American Crime Story won’t bow until next year either. At the very least, Season 3 will shortly follow.
If a lead role in each subsequent American Horror Story and an Emmy for The People v. O.J. Simpson hadn’t clued you in, Sarah Paulson remains one of Ryan Murphy’s closest collaborators. So it is, that after a universally-acclaimed turn as Marcia Clark, Paulson is confirmed to return for the Katrina-centric Season 2 of American Crime Story.

Simpson has yet to display a single frame of footage, but if the actual series ends up half as much fun as its cast, consider us on board. Selma Blair and Into the Woods alum Billy Magnussen are the latest among the ensemble, taking the iconic roles of Kris Jenner and Kato Kaelin.
O.J. SIMPSON was bummed when he heard that CUBA GOODING JR. was going to play him in that new series "American Crime Story". A source says he wanted DENZEL WASHINGTON. . . quote, "O.J. and Denzel knew each other, and he loves Denzel as an actor. He'd have made a good O.J."
