Fab Five member Gabby Douglas won the gold medal in the women’s gymnastics all-around competition. While the Russian competitors were the front-runners, Douglas scored the win and nabbed one of the most sought-after prizes in the gymnastics rounds! Congrats, Gabby!

American swimmer Michael Phelps became the most decorated athlete in Olympic history Tuesday, while the United States and China remained tied atop the overall medal count of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Here’s a recap of the day’s Olympic action:

Alexis Lawrence is a freshman at Tri-City Prep and a level 10 gymnast at Garland's Gymnastics.  She recently qualified to the National Gymnastics Championships in Hampton Virginia May 11-12th.  She placed in the top 7 in 6 states.
