UPDATE Saturday 6:15 a.m. EST: The number of reported fatalities is at least five, with another 71 injuries caused by what authorities say are a total of 17 tornadoes ripping through the Midwest on Friday.
Two storm chasers shot some pretty amazing footage from inside a tornado this week. The twister touched down in northern Kansas on Monday, and they were in basically a half-car half-tank called a "Tornado Intercept Vehicle."

At least seven of those killed were students at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore. The twister, which measured 2 miles at one point, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials.
