An exciting exhibition chronicling 50 years of Hydroplane racing in Tri-Cities is on display for one month beginning today through boat race weekend July 24th-26th at the Hanford Reach Interpretive Center in Kennewick.

Due to budget cuts, the Air Force has refused to perform flyovers at large community gatherings. They are resuming this year, but only at 450 events. The jets were requested at 5,000. Water Follies will get an F-16 but The Pendleton Round-Up was snubbed.

The Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Pageant invites all women between the ages of 13 and 24 to enter the competition to be held during the week of the Water Follies in July.

We had a boat race party this last weekend and everybody was in the river -- well, almost everybody. Those that weren't kept saying, "I can't believe they're swimming in that river! I'd NEVER swim in that river!" What about you?

This is way cool, it's a mustang that pretty much looks like a rocket and the interior is like an airplane that will be there with the Air Force on the Kennewick side of the river.

It's boat race weekend and let's be honest, we love watching the boats flip. We're horrible! Everybody pray for no wind so the drivers will be safe. Watch this video of awesome hydro flips and then hope that nothing like that happens this weekend!

Dave from Lamb Weston told us how more than 100 employees spruced up garbage cans and the gazebo in Columbia Park in anticipation of the event.
