There’s Been a Big Increase in Head Lice, Here’s Why
People used to blame everything on global warming. Then we switched to blaming everything on the economy. Then it was Facebook's turn. And now it's our phones. Here's the latest.
Apparently, there's been an increase recently in head lice among teenagers. And a lice expert named Marcy McQuillan in Scotts Valley, California says it's because of . . . selfies.
Quote, "Typically it's younger children I treat, because they're at a higher risk for head-to-head contact. But now, teens are sticking their heads together every day to take cell phone pics."
So . . . tell your kid not to rub heads with other kids, even for photos? Even better, lecture them on how the PURE definition of a "selfie" is just one person.
