You might not have noticed it before, but you can tell the difference between hot and cold water just from hearing the sounds they make when they're poured.

You don't even have to have good hearing . . . it's REALLY obvious.  The reason is that water gets thicker when it's hotter, so it makes a different sound hitting the cup. We put it to the test this morning on the show!
