• Where and when is the 2016 festival? 

The 20th annual UnTapped Blues & Brews Festival will be May 13 at Clover Island Inn and May 14 at the Benton Franklin Fairgrounds. The Saturday event will begin at noon and end at 11 p.m. (all alcohol sales will end at 10 p.m.).

  • Is the music indoor or outdoor?

The music is outdoors on two stages: blues and rock/country. Beer/wine tasting and some of the food vendors will be located indoors.

  • Where do we park, and is there a fee?

The main parking lot at the Fairgrounds at 10th and Oak Street is open and parking is free. There are designated parking areas for motorcycles (bring your bike … it’s a fun ride).

  • What transportation is there to or from festival?

We do not have a special bus service scheduled. However, Benton-Franklin transit has a bus that stops at the Benton County Fair Grounds from 6:05 am to 6:35 pm.

Guests of Clover Island Inn (the official hotel of the UnTapped Music Festival, see “Lodging“) have access to a free shuttle service to and from the event.

  • Is there any seating in the music area? Beer/Wine area?

There is limited seating available in the music area. You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. There will be tables and chairs in the tasting pavilions and a limited number of picnic tables and bleachers in the food court.

  • What are we allowed to bring into the festival area?

As in the past, you are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and other personal items. Coolers, pets, tents, and minors are NOT permitted.

  • Can I use my debit or credit cards? Is there an ATM?

None of our booths or vendors are set up for debit or credit cards. All transactions are cash only. However, we will have two ATM’s available. One will be located at the front gate and the other will be near the beer barns..

  • Can we “re-enter” if we have to leave the event?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. If you have to leave the event and want to return later in the day, yes. If you are leaving to go to your car for some reason several times throughout the day that will not be allowed.

  • Are minors, even babies, allowed into the festival?

No minors, including babies, are allowed into the event. We have a 100% ID check policy . . . bring your proof of age.

  • What is included in the ticket price?

The ticket fee includes entry to the event (including 13 bands) and a commemorative tasting glass (to the first 3,000 entrants). Food and non-alcohol drinks are sold by “cash”. All alcohol drinks are sold using “scrip tickets” that you purchase inside the event.

  • Will camping spaces be available if I do not make reservations in advance?

There are limited number of camping sites available. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis. If the campground does not sell out, same-day sales of camp sites will occur until no more sites are available. The best advice is to reserve early.

  • Will alcohol be available for sale?

Girls on the Run of Southeast WA sell script tickets for beer/wine purchases at the event. You can buy a set of five tickets for $10 or a set of ten tickets for $20. Sales of Beer and Wine at UnTapped Blues benefit Girls on the Run charity. Prices for alcoholic beverages are as follows…

Beer = 1/2 glass = 1 ticket
Cider = full glass = 2 tickets
Wine = 1/2 glass = 3 tickets
