Kennewick voters made their voices heard when they overwhelmingly said no to a tax increase to pay for the expansion of the Toyota Center with the Three River Conventions Center. Now the future of the Toyota Center may be in jeopardy...

The Toyota Center was originally called the Tri-Cities Coliseum when it opened in 1988 as a privately owned events facility. It was eventually turned over to the City of Kennewick in 2000, who have apparently struggled to make it profitable enough to update to today's standards. This could lead to the Tri-City Americans relocating to a more modern facility.

I live in Kennewick and have lived in the Tri-Cities for more than 25 years and I voted for the LINK because I would love to see this facility updated. What do you think? Should it be a taxpayers' burden?
