The Hermiston City and Umatilla County governments have big, exciting news. They have approved the construction of a major events center to take the place of the Umatilla County fairgrounds and rodeo grounds. The Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center (EOTEC) will be on 75 acres just south of the Hermiston Airport.

This is big news for northeast Oregon -- and the Hermiston High School will get the old fairgrounds for expansion! One city council member called it a "win, win, win" for all parties involved.

So what kind of events should they start planning for 2016?
