“Whole9 30″ Foods For July 4th!

You’ve probably heard me talk on the air about getting OFF sugar! Well I’m into my second week of eating in the way of the “Whole9 30″ It was pretty darn tough for the first few days, because I’m the one who can’t go more than 2 hours without sugar, (mainly chocolate!) But hear I am in my second week and I am feeling GREAT!

I’m also off all dairy (except eggs). I’m eating mainly vegetables, a little fruit, and a small amount of animal based protein like chicken or fish.

And then I’m eating nuts. No legumes, or beans or wheat, gluten etc of any kind. No alcohol, no processed foods of any kind. It’s very much like the Paleo Diet.

It’s interesting that even after a week, I feel sooo much better! I mowed the lawn, cleaned the house, had a great  music gig this weekend!  And kept my energy up for the whole thing! I felt good, happy and energetic! And I hadn’t felt that for a long time!

My life was feeling out of control because I was binge eating! And just couldn’t pass up the sweets any longer! I found myself feeling tired and totally wiped out. No energy to get back to exercising.  Not to mention I had gained about 10 pounds in the past couple months.

I’m happy to say at least I’m down 5 lbs in a week!  I think I may just eat this way for life!

I went to Costco and bought tons of good fresh vegies, and fruit and nuts, fish, and chicken. And have actually been having some fun in the kitchen making creative all fresh food dishes that I know are healthy!

We are going to a 4th of July party, and so I was looking at some recipes that I might be able to add or bring that I can eat!

Whatever your food choices are, if you’re  like me in anyway, you feel out of control with your eating, you feel out of control with your life!

All of a sudden, I feel better organized, I am planting flowers, working in the yard, cleaning out cupboards and getting organized. It’s funny how just taking control of my food choices in a more healthy way is contributing to me feeling better about EVERYTHING!
