Wind Storm Downed 10 Trees at Richland’s John Dam Plaza

John Dam Plaza is considered the "city center" in Richland. It is surrounded by the post office, courthouse, city hall, the main shopping/office district (The Parkway) and the main convention center (the Red Lion Hotel). It is a venue for political rallies, commemorative events and festivals. During the winter, it is home to the City of Richland's main holiday lights display. The loss of 10 trees, large and small, to this historic heart of the city is catastrophic. And 10 is only the number of felled trees - that doesn't include trees that may be damaged beyond repair. Several of the downed trees are decades old.
