A woman now identified as Linda Zaragoza from Spokane, led police on a high speed chase through Moses Lake with a car that she stole from her ex-husband. The chase started on Beacon road around 10 in the morning and continued through the streets of Moses Lake until she was captured after crashing the car onto a flower bed and trying to run away. She had avoided tire strips, made illegal u turns, sped through residential areas, and even jumped the car a few inches off the ground according to reports.

The woman now faces charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude, and endangerment by eluding a police vehicle for her little joy ride. She told an officer that she "did not stop for police lights and sirens because she was scared and tired of going to jail".
