WSU Tri-Cities has had a lot to offer students throughout the years, and it's about to be every better! In case you haven't hear, WSU Tri-Cities has received funding on new housing for students. Also, they just received a $25 million grant to fund and expand their Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) program.

The program helps prepare students in low-income schools to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. The program starts in grade 6 and help low-income students with college preparedness. Students in Walla Walla, Dayton, Kennewick, Othello, Moses Lake and other cities will benefit greatly from the program, as they have in the past.

And if that weren't enough the National Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi is opening its 338th chapter at WSU Tri-Cities! In order to be consider a university has to have “established reputation of excellence and an expressed commitment to upholding the values of the society.” New housing, more funding to community-building projects, and a National Honor Society at a university right here in the Tri-Cities! How cool is that!? But man, I hope this doesn't mean a lot more people moving here! We kind of like being a sweet little secret. ;)
