Pendleton could be adjusting to a new school schedule in the future.

As an attempt to improve test scores, Pendleton School District might change to a year-round schedule that starts in mid-July and ends the following June. Students would have three week breaks for winter and spring and a five week break for the summer.

Many teachers believe the near three-month break between school years drains students' brains, making the first few weeks of school terribly annoying.

Pendleton is no stranger to different school schedules. The district has made exceptions for Round-Up (the local rodeo).
