The $1 Your Way Menu features a Bacon Cheeseburger, a Chicken Jr. Sandwich, Fries, and a Soft Drink. The King plans to roll out the new options on December 28th.

"The dollar menu is back," Ellie Doty, Burger King North America's chief marketing officer, said during a press conference, adding that a lot of customers "have really, really missed it."

Fast-food chains frequently debut dandy new deals and/or celebrity endorsement stunts in January, when many customers are more aware of maintaning fiscal responsibility to their budgets.

This upcoming year of 2021 is set to be a massive budget battle as chains try to win over customers affected by the rise in unemployment. On top of that, a new dollar menu is a most-welcome tool in your budget balancing belt as the difficulties of finding a job are right up there with other stressful situations like trying to pay the rent and spiking levels of hunger that are forcing some people to line up for food assistance for the first time in their lives.

Dollar menus have been disappearing in recent years.

Since McDonald's killed its iconic Dollar Menu in 2013, it and other fast-food chains have increasingly relied on bundled deals or promotions tied to mobile apps instead of building out a menu of items that cost a dollar.

Burger King is promoting the new deal by sending randomly selected Burger King customers $1 via Venmo from Monday until the menu launches on December 28.
