Police heard gunshots early Saturday morning in Pullman as they were responding to another call, according to a report from NBC Right Now. Officers found a 23-year-old from Kent, Washington on the ground with gunshot wounds, and standing over him was another man who said that the pistol lying on the ground next to the victim was his.

Suddenly some other people in the area told the police that another person had been shot down the street. That person was 22-year old WSU wide receiver Brandon Gray, a junior from Detroit who did not travel with the team to Utah to prep for Saturday's game. The first victim police found on the ground has died and Brandon is in stable condition. The man who admitted the gun was his is suspected in both shootings.
