Driver Claims They Were Doing Only 30MPH–Evidence Says Otherwise

Late Thursday night into Friday morning, Benton County Sheriff's responded to a one vehicle rollover crash on Owens Road, just south of Highway 397.

The driver, who fortunately was NOT injured, told Deputies he was 'only' traveling about 30mph.  However, after crash scene investigators took a look, a long fishtail and other evidence indicated he was traveling in 'considerable' excess of that speed.

No word if any citations issued, but he wont' be driving this truck for a while. Deputies emphasize watch your speed, it only takes a moment for a fun ride to turn dangerous.
