My son is supposed to visit two college campuses for an assignment in high school. I needed to take my mom to Spokane, so he and I dropped her off and visited Eastern Washington University in Cheney. I'd never been to a college campus other than CBC. And now I'm scared.

This was my first visit to a real school  with dorms and everything. It was nice. EWU is only 6 miles out of Spokane. I was the only parent in our small tour group, but it went really well.

We think EWU is definitely an option for him, but maybe not the first year until he figures out what he wants to do. He'd like to do something in the medical field.

Maybe he should go to WSU Tri-Cities or CBC the first year and get some generals done. But we hear horror stories about credits not transferring. And are the programs he's interested in accredited?

This is all alarming for me. And I don't know anything about scholarships.

So the journey begins.

Notice him watching me over his shoulder? "Geez dad, you're still here?"
