Maurices Opens New Store At Columbia Center and a New Maverick on Clearwater

Columbia Center today announced it will host a Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its newest retailer, Maurices, this Friday, May 22 at 9:30 a.m.

Maurices, an American retailer specializing in retail for women, is located near Regal Cinema and Barnes & Noble. Founded in Minnesota, the retailer offers women sizes 1-24 the chance to express their unique style by providing a variety of dresses, jeans, tops and swimwear.

Anyone who’s driven by the intersection of North Union Street and West Clearwater Avenue recently will notice that the long, low commercial building which stood on the corner is gone right down to the cement slab.

Kennewick city records show the demolished building was constructed in 1950. Over the years it had housed a variety of businesses including a vehicle repair shop, a hair salon and a vacuum machine sales and repair company.

The 2.65-acre lot will soon be the site of a new, 4,630-sq.-ft. Maverik gas station and convenience store.

The city values the new Maverik at $1,500,000. The address will be 4306 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick.
