It’s that time of the year, when pop culture websites and critics publish their annual Best Of lists and we heap praise on the best and most beloved movies and TV shows of the year. But what about the average moviegoer and TV-viewer? That’s where Facebook comes in. The social media site has released their top 10 movies and top 10 TV shows of the year, based on the most discussed titled of 2014. While some are fairly obvious, the lists might surprise you and inspire you to contemplate the overlap between what’s popular and what’s actually good.
'American Horror Story' returns for a fourth season, taking us under the tent with perhaps its least subtle outing yet, introducing us to the oddities of the 'Freak Show,' led by Jessica Lange's glamorous Elsa Mars. Subtlety has never been creator Ryan Murphy's strong suit, but Murphy (who also wrote and directed tonight's premiere) seems to have fully embraced that approach, delivering what appears to be both the most horrifying and joyful season yet.

Adam Levine will be playing “a sexy guy” in his upcoming role on Ryan Murphy’s ‘American Horror Story,’ which isn’t a stretch. If you ask Jennifer Love Hewitt or any red-blooded female, she is likely to agree that Levine is hot. The Maroon 5 frontman is quite the good-looking dude, and we are banking that he can pull off sexy on the small screen in scripted form.
