The harmonica is one of the best aspects of blues music. It's so artful, simple, and so difficult to play. John Nemeth will bring his outstanding harp-playing to this year's UnTapped Blues & Brews Festival presented by Mid Valley Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram & Marine (at Exit 73 in Grandview).

We first became aware of a great rock-funk-roots band at Yakima's Downtown Summer Nights Thursday-night concert series. We've added Village to our new country/rock stage at UnTapped Blues & Brews Festival this year so people from this part of the state can enjoy this exciting group.

Friday night, May 8, kicks off the fun and excitement at UnTapped with Blues on the Columbia at Clover Island Inn in Kennewick.

I got to have a sit-down with Josh Richardson, vocalist for country-rock band Brothers Ride. Catch them at Untapped Blues and Brews, as they take the stage May 10th at 3:05.

Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps will perform Saturday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m. on d's Wicked Cider Stage just before the Taj Mahal Trio.

Beer is a great part of UnTapped Blues & Brews and we wanted to give you a first look at some of the breweries you will find on Saturday at this year's UnTapped Blues & Brews presented by Mid Valley Auto Group (Exit 73 in Grandview).

This year UnTapped Blues & Brews Festival starts May 8 at Clover Island Inn and continues May 9 at the Benton County Fairgrounds. One of the great bands we have on Friday at 7 p.m. will be Lloyd Jones & the Struggle. Lloyd has great sound and is a killer guitar player. Here is Lloyd at 2013 Sunbanks show:

UnTapped Blues & Brews Festival is May 8 at Clover Island and May 9 at the fairgrounds all day with headliner Taj Mahal Trio and 30 Northwest breweries.

UnTapped Blues and Brews is coming to the Tri-Cities May 8th and 9th. On the 8th, it will be at Clover Island Inn. The Benton County Fairgrounds will be the location for the 9th.
