The ‘Aquaman’ Trailer Rises From the Depths of Comic-Con
YEAYUHH! It’s here, the first trailer for the long awaited Aquaman movie. Not a dream! Not a hoax! Not a joke on Entourage this time! It is Aquaman. A totally legitimately real, big-budget movie about a dude with tribal tattoos who can talk to fish. What a world!
After a cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and debuting in Justice League, Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry gets to swim off in his very own movie. The cast also includes Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko (Nuidis!), Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta. James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7) directed the film. The trailer just made its world premiere at Comic-Con and we’ve got it for you. And it looks even better than James Cameron’s version!
Here is the film’s official synopsis:
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be ... a king.
Aquaman opens in theaters on December 21. MY MAN!
