A two year old little boy that fell from the 2nd story of an apartment building in Kennewick yesterday status is 'Critical'.

Responders say the little boy climbed on the top of a sofa which was underneath an open window of the 2nd story apartment and fell onto the cement walkway below. The boy was taken to Sacred Heart and his condition is reported to be 'Critical'.

Theses type of accidents although rare do happen on a regular basis. In fact according to a story from KEPR

Officials say this is at least the third case in the last three years of a child falling from a second-floor window in the Tri-Cities area. They advise parents not to place objects on which children can climb close to windows and to keep upper-story windows only partially open.
