Authorities have released the names of the victims of Friday's mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, in which Adam Lanza, 20, reportedly killed 27 people, as well as himself. Lanza's rampage began when he shot and killed his mother, Nancy, at her home before he drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed six adults and 20 children before taking his own life.
Now that several hours have passed since the initial reports of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting, it appears the reported death toll is official 26, with 18 of those being children. The school educated classes in Kindergarten through the fourth grade.
The following famous people are believed to have, or have had, ties to the area of Newtown, Connecticut where the horrific school shooting occurred this morning:
Actor Anthony Edwards is believed to have purchased a house in the area of Newtown known as Sandy Hook (the shooting was at Sandy Hook Elementary) from children's author and illustrator Steven Kellogg.
