Wow! First Adele, Now Celine! Vocal issues seem to affect any singer but when you are headlining a Vegas Show, it's gotta feel even worse! Here is the latest from ABC Entertainment:

Celine Dion had to cancel four shows after coming down with a virus last week, but things have gone from bad to worse.  Celine has now been put on voice rest through the end of April, and has canceled all her scheduled shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace through Sunday, March 18.  She'll resume performances beginning June 9.

Celine flew to Los Angeles earlier this week to see a specialist, and was diagnosed with a weakness in her right vocal cord.  She needs six to eight weeks of vocal rest to completely recover.

In a statement, the diva said, "I tried to sing at my sound-check last week, and I had no control of my voice whatsoever.  We thought that after a few days rest I would improve but it wasn't getting any better...I guess it was worse than I thought."

She adds, "Obviously this is the worst thing for a singer...not being able to do your shows.  I feel worse knowing that I'm disappointing my fans.  I'm so sorry...I hope they forgive me."

Anyone who purchased tickets to Celine's show can get automatic refunds if they paid via credit card.  Those who purchased tickets with cash can return their tickets at the point of purchase for a refund.
