Chris Brown’s Attorney Reportedly Has Evidence to Implicate Drake in Club Fight

More drama surrounds the Chris Brown and Drake battle bottle from last week in New York City. Breezy’s attorney insists that Drake was responsible for the melee, which took place at W.I.P. last Thursday (June 14).

The fight saw several people injured, including Brown and NBA superstar Tony Parker, the latter of which was not involved in the beef. He was just hit in the eye by the fallout and was clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rumors abound that Rihanna was the reason the fight ensued and it’s been a “he said, he said” mess ever since. It’s not clear who started the fracas, but Brown’s camp is determined to prove Drizzy did so.

While Drake’s people, including Cash Money and YMCMB head honcho Birdman, have insisted he was not involved in the fight and was on his way out the door when tensions flared up, cops still want to talk to him. Yet Drake is refusing to do so.

Brown’s lawyers Mark Geragos claims to possess proof that Drizzy is the culprit. He told the New York Post (quotes courtesy of WENN) that, “I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this. The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim in all of this. I believe the police are building a case against Drake and his thugs. Clearly, Drake was the instigator, and there is evidence he threw glassware.”

Drake’s rep shot back in an email to The New York Post, writing: “Why would he turn himself in when he did not commit any wrong-doing?” However, witnesses have claimed that they saw Drake throw the bottle. What’s abundantly unclear is if Breezy sent the bottle of champagne as a peace offering and if Drake sent it back with an unsavory comment about Rihanna.

If the claims that Drake hurled the glass are proven true, he could be charged with starting a riot and reckless endangerment. “The detectives are looking at it and investigating it, and if an arrest is appropriate, an arrest is going to be made,” New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said. “When detectives got there, no one was there. Eight people were injured. The place was in disarray. They’re gathering information.”

In addition to all of the injuries — there were other innocent bystanders and civilians injured in the fight — the club was actually shut down. An NYPD spokesperson said that code violations were the reason for the closing, according to The Boombox.

What a nightmare. It doesn’t appear that the authorities are any closer to finding out who started the mess and why.
