Dance bangers, pop-rock bops and soulful jams be damned: Demi Lovato's powerhouse, emotive voice shines best when the production is simple and stripped back.

Case in point? The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer dazzles on her new acoustic rendition of "Tell Me You Love Me," the title track off her 2017 sixth studio album.

Transforming the big, horn-driven Billboard Hot 100 hit into a moving piano ballad, Lovato's textural, emotional vocals are put center stage—exactly where they belong—as the performer harmonizes with and belts alongside her backing dancers in a new video. Watch up top.

Originally recorded while Lovato was going through a breakup, "Tell Me You Love Me" was released as the second single off Lovato's most recent album on November 14, 2017.

The track's dramatic wedding-themed music video, starring Grey's Anatomy actor Jesse Williams, was released on December 1.

Featuring special guests DJ Khaled and Kehlani, Demi Lovato's Tell Me You Love Me World Tour kicks off February 26 in San Diego.
