Rare opening! We need someone special to complete the stations' broadcast schedule. Traffic coordinator, under supervision of the program manager, will add to the station programming and creatively select interstitial material (like sponsorship and promotional messages) to manage our broadcast streams.
We use an online management system that centralizes our database of video content and dictates what is sent to the transmitters.
If you have incredible attention to detail, an interest in public television, don't need someone peering over your shoulder and can sit for extended periods we would like to hear from you. Northwest Public Television consists of two television stations associated with PBS -- KTNW in the Tri-Cities and KWSU in Pullman, WA. We are licensed by Washington State University. Job Responsibilities * Build restaurant sales through development of hospitality staff, proactive table visits and being an active member of the community

A.I.S., Inc. is developing a proposal in response to a solicitation published by the U.S. Army Cops of Engineers (Corps) to provide fish counting services in Washington and Oregon. The Corps has eight mainstem Columbia and Snake River projects with fish ladders and associated facilities for passing salmon, steelhead, shad, lamprey, and other migrating and resident species. Fish counting services will include visual fish counting and video fish counting. Visual counting entails a fish counter physically sitting in a counting room adjacent to a fish ladder, identifying fish by species/age class, whether wild or hatchery stock, direction (upstream/downstream) and tabulating the fish as they pass through the counting slot. Video fish counting entails using a camera to record fish passage and a review of the video for identification and fish counting. In order to prepare our response to the Corps AIS is seeking individuals interested in the following positions:
Supervisor
Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision to fish counters, develop work plan to meet the monitoring needs of the program, ensure that all shifts are covered, develop and administer training to new employees, implement QA/QC plan, and summarize monitoring effort and submit reports to PM.
Minimum Qualifications: 2 years relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant biological or scientific field of study.
Lead Fish Counter
Responsibilities: Conduct fish counting at fish ladders at the Corps sites; identify fish by species, age class, whether wild or hatchery stock, and direction (upstream/downstream).and record data using Corps equipment and software, operate digital video equipment, review digital images, fax data forms when required.
Minimum Qualifications:2 years of experience performing fish counting at Corps sites, a bachelors in a scientific field of study (an additional 2 or more years of relevant experience can be substituted)
Fish Counter
Responsibilities: Conduct fish counting at fish ladders at the Corps sites; identify fish by species, age class, whether wild or hatchery stock, and direction (upstream/downstream), and record data using Corps equipment and software.
