We are currently seeking to primarily fill day shift positions (6a-2p), but also our evening/swing shift positions (2p-10p). Experience
At least three to six months related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with older adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Summary
Provides direct care to residents following an individual service plan, treats each resident with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs, and encourages independence. Fosters a homelike atmosphere throughout the community.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with older adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Refer to specific state regulations for qualifications required to assist with medications and direct care duties.
Knowledge of dementia particularly of the Alzheimer's type is helpful.
Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements
In accordance with state law, may need to possess current state certification and follow regulations to maintain certification currency.
All applicants must possess, or be willing to obtain within 120-200 days of hire, a Nursing Assistant Certification or a Home Care Aide Certification, in accordance with WA State Law under WAC 388-78A and 388-112. Must possess, or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire, CPR and First Aid certification. Must possess, or be willing to obtain within seven (7) days of hire, a Washington State Food Worker Card (may obtain online at foodworkercard.gov for $10.00).
Must be able to pass State and Federal Background Checks. Must be able to pass drug screening. Company will provide two-step TB testing, unless applicant can provide proof of negative two-step testing in last 365 days or if physician states that applicant may not have TB AND applicant can provide negative TB radiology report of lungs.
