Man Lies to Brother About Being a Hostage to Bum $35 for Drugs

A man texted his younger brother he was being held at gun point and that his brother must deliver a $35 to pay a dope debt for the brother. His brother was instructed to bring the money east of Chiawana Park.

The younger brother told his mother what was happening and the mother called the police. The police showed up and frisked three men in the yard. One of the men, the alleged victim, had a syringe and brown residue in his pocket and admitted he lied about the whole thing just to get drug money from his brother.

He was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia and booked into Franklin County Jail on the misdemeanor charge.
