Only Real Men Cry During Titanic

Titanic
(Facebook, Titanic page)

The first time I saw Titanic I cursed every history class I ever attended – SPOILER alert! Needless to say, I totally “called it”. … The ship sunk.

Why should anyone go see Titanic again?

I’ll tell you why.

James Cameron digitally altered a scene for the re-release of Titanic. When the movie was originally released a mistake was caught by Astronomer Neil Degrasse Tyson; the stars in the sky are in the wrong position in the scene where Kate Winslet is lying on a piece of driftwood floating in the ocean after the ship sinks.

In response to Tyson’s observation Camereon was quoted as saying, “All right, you son of a (b-word), send me the right stars for the exact time, 4:20 A.M. on April 15th, 1912, and I’ll put it in the movie”

Of course I noticed the mistake too, I just had the tact NOT to bother James Cameron with it.

TITANIC 3D in theaters EVERYWHERE April 4th 2012.
