Calling All Gardeners! Help Me Name This? What Is It?

I've been looking at plants to plant on my back hill for ground cover so I don't have to mow.  I've been considering Lavender, Black Eyed Daisies and some other flowers to plant there as well.. But, in my minds eye, I kept seeing THIS!

 

And I couldn't find it anywhere or explain to the nurseries what I was looking for until I saw it at BookWalter Last night!  I think it's beautiful and appears to grow in quite thick.

Thankful to Live in the Northwest

As I was laying next to my daughter trying to get her to go to sleep, I checked the news on my phone and caught more details about the tornadoes in Oklahoma. It was strange to lay there and think how for hundreds of families, tonight was so very different for them then for me.  These families were living there worst possible nightmare, many reports of children dying, families being torn apart, and communities being destroyed.  Living in the Northwest my whole life, the worst disasters I remember are St. Helens and an occasional ice storm.

Aftermath of Oklahoma Tornado in Photos

A massive tornado touched down just south of Oklahoma City on Monday, killing dozens.

At least seven of those killed were students at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore. The twister, which measured 2 miles at one point, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials.
