An Allegiant Air flight that departed Pasco, Washington lost an engine in flight before landing in Mesa and had to make an emergency landing. The Airbus A319-100 was carrying 131 passengers and 6 crew when they had engine trouble in their main decent into Mesa according to news reports. Witnesses report seeing flames and smoke come out the engine and that the plane looked like it was having difficulty flying. The plane landed safely with no injuries but the plane had damage to the engine and blade.

The plane has been pulled from service and they are investigating the cause.
