Solar Storm Invades Earth

I am always fascinated by the solar system so when I saw the news last night about a storm on the sun that is sending particles toward the earth at 4 million miles per hour I kind of perked up. Especially when the reporter said we could see disturbances of our utility grids, GPS networks, satellites, and possibly air flight, it kinda freaked me out. The pure power of the universe.

Good news to report at least in our neck of the woods: no major problems to report! And just so you know this is a normal occurrence on the sun that happens every 11 years. Enjoy the beautiful footage of the sun!
