March 25, 2013 We had so much fun riding Sunday!
I took "Lady Liberty" out for the first time this year. I just started her under saddle last spring, and really haven't had many rides on her.
I wasn't sure how she would be, but she did great! She is such a cute little thing, and quite different than riding my BIG Friesien Horse "Galeron"

March 13, 2013 Most of you know I have three horses. And I am looking for a chunk of land that I can buy or Lease to place them. I can feed the big orchard bales so if it has water, I can still live off site.
Ultimately I'd like to find a place to buy with a house, but nothing appears to be in my price range! Lol
March 11, 2013 I know a lot of people fish out at Potholes, but I've never seen any other riders except the ones that are with me!
I hope it's okay to ride horses there. I've never seen signs saying anything different
Ever been horseback riding? It can be a lot of fun, but there's one obvious peril: you will fall off the horse.

My horse would never let me do all that. I'm pretty lucky to do what I do on my horse, but I can't imagine nor would I have a clue about how on earth you would train a horse to do all these things
December 19, 2012 Many of you know I take my horses in the river all the time in the summer. They love it so much! My Friesien "Galeron" is almost impossible to get OUT of the water once we are submerged in the Columbia! He would stay there ALL day! Like a kid that won't get out of the pool! If there's one thing you need to know about us here at TheFW, it's that we love to find any excuse to dress up animals. This is especially true during the holiday season, because festive puppies and cats are like, the best things ever.
December 3, 2012 In horse gaming, 'pole-bending' is a race where horses run between a series of poles. (It's kind of like slalom in skiing.) I can't imagine any of the horses I did poles on ever doing this!

This ride used to be in Tri-Cities but was moved to Zillah because it was just too big!
The magnificent Purple Sage Riders (Back Country Horsemen) put this on. I've been to the Tri-Cities one a few years ago, but never have done this one! But, I hear it's awesome!
I'm planning on attending! And wanted to share the info in case you are interested!
