March 13, 2013 My husband and I were in Seattle the other night for the Maroon 5 concert which was awesome and we stumbled upon or should I say "Yelped" upon an amazing restaurant!
As a parent of three small children (5 years old, three years old and 1 year old) I'm often in the uncomfortable position of taking noisy kids into restaurants. Sometimes I'm embarrassed, sometimes I think other people should just deal with it (kids are part of life). I never know what the ethics of the situation are. So I decided to ask YOU.
It appears that no matter how delicious the food at your favorite restaurant seems to be, it has nothing to do with how the business operates on the inside. Recently, a pro-worker group called Restaurant Opportunities Centers United produced a guide–mentioned in NY Times Columnist Mark Bittman‘s column–that lists many of America’s most popular restaurants with the purpose of letting you know just how badly the employees of that restaurant are treated.

January 5, 2012 Is it just me? Or is the Tri-Cities FINALLY getting some interesting places to dine? We used to have to choose from just a couple restaurants in town, but it seems we are movin' up in the world when it comes to casual and fine dining!
Last night Tony & I went to the "Soft Grand Opening" of the new Kennewick City Grill (Hwy 395, formerly Fat Olives)
JD Nolan's Dad "Tiny" and his family own the restaurant along with the "Fat Olives" restaurant in Richland. They decided to change up the menu at the Kennewick location to something a bit different and rename it. And I like what I see!
