I can already smell the board wax, and goggle cleanser... that can mean only one thing... ski and snowboard season has begun! There is snow in the mountains and the lifts have started moving; people all over the state are getting geared up to hit the slopes. We recently did a poll on what you think the best places to ski are in the Northwest, and it seems that Anthony Lakes is the biggest hit with 56% of the votes.
December 10, 2012 I heard White Pass opened this past weekend! And I'm sure Bluewood will open soon! I hate cold weather! But, I find if I dress for it and get out and do fun things in spite of the weather, I am happier because of it! I don't own skii's anymore and it's a spendy sport, but every time I take the plunge to rent and go skiing, I'm ALWAYS happy that I did!
April 10, 2012 Many people are unaware that White Pass is open throughout spring. Me and my husband are season pass holders at White Pass. Recently we have been enjoying record amounts of snow on our runs; this season's total snowfall has been over 550 inches!

White Pass will operate daily through April 15, 2012. They will then operate Saturdays & Sundays only through April 29, 2012.Â

January 9, 2012 White Pass is excellent
Waiting for the snow to fall? Are your dreams full of journeys across the white, through serene forests? The Montreal River, in upper Michigan, rich with cross-country ski trails, just might be the answer you’re looking for. In fact, when you combine all the trails together, you get more than 60 km of skiing pleasure, the longest located in Ironwood, MI.
