Spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year, 1st because I'm just plain sick of winter and 2nd our rather bland landscape perks up and gets really pretty. Spring is called the Vernal Equinox which means:

On March 20, 2014, at precisely 12:57 P.M. EDT, the Sun will cross directly over the Earth's equator. This moment is known as the vernal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. For the Southern Hemisphere, this is the moment of the autumnal equinox.

Equinox means: "equal night."

So the days will begin to get even longer yeah! Next question you might have is when will the irrigation water be on? According to Kennewick Irrigation District, the canals will begin receiving water April 1st and the canals should be full by the 15th.

Happy Spring Everybody!
