Why You Have to Tear Off the Stub on Your Ballot Before Mailing It

When you are putting your ballot in the envelope, you probably notice the stub on it…do I tear it off or not?

Well the answer is…tear it off. If you don’t it just takes extra time to process your vote.

Machines can’t process the ballot with the extra strip of paper.
