At least once a week we include a poll in one of our blogs and sometimes the results are quite surprising! 10 of the most interesting responses over the last month:

  • 8/11 respondents say DON'T TAKE LITTLE KIDS TO HIKE PALOUSE FALLS! There's a viewing area that's safe, but not the trails. One parent called into the show saying he was not prepare for all the RATTLESNAKES on the trail!
  • 7/14 respondents say they agree with the mom in Florida refusing to have her son circumcised. Surprisingly, 5 say the mom is wrong. Not necessarily because they think the 4 year old should be circumcised, but because the mom shouldn't be defying legal agreements and court orders.
  • In predicting the future (next 50 years), 13.5 percent of 50 respondents believe a woman will be elected president, 11.5 percent believe most cars will be electric, 10 percent believe a human will step foot on Mars, 8 percent think the penny coin will go away, 8 percent think China will walk on the moon. Out of 50 people ZERO think Israel and Palestine will achieve peace.
  • 61 percent of 33 respondents believe it's a good idea for parents to let teens drink alcohol at home with them (to teach how it affects their body).
  • 71 percent of 82 people would like the online taxi service Uber to come to Tri-Cities.
  • 42 percent of 125 respondents say they don't judge people with neck tattoos, 37 percent said they absolutely judge them and 20 percent say they unconsciously and unintentionally judge them.
  • A group of 10 were split 60/40 on the minimum wage (with majority opposing increase).
  • 69 percent of 45 people said the media was NOT too hard on Mia Rose, the woman in hot water for performing at Ki-Be High School despite her sex-offender status.
  • 54 percent of 61 respondents liked the idea of police having a blunt bullet on the tip of their guns so their first shots are not lethal.
  • The majority of respondents about RadioShack said the company's problem was inventory. They weren't selling the right products. Many also said the company didn't advertise enough.
