Benny And Joon Was Filmed In 1992 In Washington State

Benny and Joon is a romantic comedy about two eccentric people falling in love. Johnny Depp played Sam while Mary Stuart Masterson played "Joon". The movie was a sleeper hit in the 90s and continues to enjoy a cult following.

A lot of the movie was filmed in Spokane Washington and most of the filming locations still remain. My son and I enjoyed eating at the Ferguson's Fountain Cafe on Garland Avenue on one trip to Spokane and it was a lot of fun to check out the decor of the cafe.
