86 Year Old Kennewick Woman Wakes to Intruder in Apartment

It happened in the wee hours Sunday April 9th at the Heather Stone Apartment complex off of 10th street in Kennewick

KPD responded to a burglary in progress at 1138 W. 10th Ave. The 86 year old victim reported she had been asleep when she heard someone kicking her front door. When she exited her bedroom she observed a male inside her apartment. Officers arrived on scene and arrested Jacob Staley as he exited the apartment. Staley was booked into the Benton County Jail on burglary 2nd degree charges.
