Fortunately, motorcycle rider was not killed, but did sustain a leg injury bad enough to require transport to the hospital.

Sunday afternoon, police responded to the intersection of Canal and Edison in Kennewick for a hit-and-run accident between a pickup and a motorcycle. Police say the man riding the bright yellow bike was struck as it was passing through the intersection. The rider was headed north towards the Edison interchange when a small red Mazda or Ford Ranger type of truck that was headed south tried to turn East onto Canal.

The truck slammed the bike onto it's side, but the driver of the truck stopped for a moment, but then sped off and left the scene--without even checking on the rider. Fortunately witnesses helped get the rider and his bike away from the center of the road, he was taken to Trios ER Southridge.
