Jeb Corliss is a professional base-jumper with an awesome Base-jumping resume. He’s jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Eiffel Tower in Paris.

His next attempt was a 364-feet high South African waterfall called “Howick Falls”. Well, disaster struck shortly after drop! As his parachute opened up it sucked him towards the falls collapsing his chute and sucking him into the falling water.

Oooooooh it gets worse!!

The fall instantly broke his back. After surfacing he could barely wiggle his arms and legs to keep himself afloat. He managed to get himself to shore. It took an hour and a half for friends to get to him.

Ooooooh it gets even worse!! ((shiver))

During that time he was being eaten alive by freshwater crabs. Corliss says the crabs were attracted to his blood and they would not leave him alone!! he had to lay there and watch the crabs feed on him….EEEEEEEEEK!!

He lived, and the jump probably ended up saving his life in the long run… He thought he was invincible.
