18 years is a long time to do business in Benton City.
The business closing was listed in the Facebook group "All About The Tri-Cities"
Detloff A&M Auto Parts is shuttering after 18 years in business in Benton City.
Here are details of why the business is closing in a statement from their Facebook page:
It is with a saddened heart that after 18 years, my parents will be closing their business, Detloff A & M Auto Parts, in Benton City, WA. They have been a vital and active part of the community, supporting locals and doing what they can to see Benton City thrive.
Due to not being able to come to terms on a lease with their new landlord, or secure a new lease in town, they are forced to go out of business.
They appreciate the whole community and are heartbroken to leave. Some of their regular customers and Benton City locals have already gotten word and are rallying and showing love and support. Let’s help them go out with a bang! They need all your support in their final days. So please, if you can and are willing to make the extra drive, please stop in and show them, love, whether it’s well wishes or a purchase, they would love it. And we all know they deserve it.
According to the posting, Detloff A & M Auto Parts will be open until May 31st at 701 9th Street and the business is inviting everyone in to say goodbye one last time.
