The Southeast Communications Center (SECOMM), a division of Benton County Emergency Services has selected Maria Herrera as the 2017 Dispatcher of the Year.
Maria was selected for her superior efforts, working tirelessly to support the transition of SECOMM, serving as an active member of the Moral and Public Education Committees and keeping up with her Certified Training Officer (CTO) responsibilities. This is above and beyond her normal dispatcher duties.
The award criteria are based on performance, attitude, integrity, excellence, and teamwork. Maria is an exceptional public safety communications officer and is very deserving of this recognition.
 
There will be a ceremony honoring Maria on Friday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m., at the Benton County Emergency Services Building, 651 Truman Avenue. It is open to the public.
