I’ll Fight Anyone That Says This Isn’t the Tastiest Pizza in Kennewick
This may be the best-tasting pizza in Kennewick.
For legal reasons I am disclosing that I am not actually going to fight anyone who disagrees with me. You're more than welcome to your own opinion and I'd encourage you to share it with me so that I may broaden my horizons.
Now that we're on the same page, let's talk about this pizza.
You've almost certainly eaten at Casa Mia.
Casa Mia may not have been started in Tri-Cities, but the restaurant was founded in Washington. All of its restaurants are in Washington state and of those seven stores, two of them are in Tri-Cities. They've been a staple of the local food scene for years.
Whenever I'm at Casa Mia, I lose all self-control. I eat, and eat, and eat. Sometimes I close my eyes and start to nod and dance as the food coma sets in. I did the food coma dance last night when I ate this pizza. I wish I would have grabbed a picture of it when it was hot on the restaurant table but I was, ya know, eating it with my family. I've had a lot of the pizzas at Casa Mia but I think the Chicken With Three Cheeses is my new favorite pizza in all of Tri-Cities.
It's gotta be the crust.
Casa Mia has won numerous contests across the country for their pizzas and Chicken With Three Cheeses is one of them. I can't tell if it's the cheese sauce underneath the cheese or the spritz of vinegar that really sets into my sensories, but I do know that I love finishing off the crust. The cheese sauce soaks into it with that perfect jolt of cheesy tang. It's even delicious the next day out of the fridge. Where other pizzas fall victim to becoming rubbery, this pizza is pretty much the same as it was when it came out of the brick oven. One last thought: if you haven't tried the steak and spaghetti dinner at Casa Mia, get on that when you can.
